ONGCian receives national honor as Madhava Ganitha Puruskaram

The prestigious Madhava Ganitha Puruskaram honor for this year has been conferred to GM (Geophy) of ONGC Vadodara Mr K Chandra Hari.

The Madhava Ganitha Kendram has been established to popularize traditional Indian mathematics – especially Kerala School of Mathematics and Vedic Mathematics – amongst the youth of our country. The Kendram is inspired by the pioneer astronomer and mathematician of the 14th century – Madhava of Sangramagama Kerala.

The Kendram was instituted to honor an eminent person who has contributed his/her life to the popularization of India’s rich mathematical traditions.

The award was presented by MoS Ministry of External Affairs Mr V Murleedharan, at a function organized on 27 December 2019 in Irinjalakuda Kerala.
