ONGC Drilling Services wins National Mines Safety Award for 2015, 2016

ONGC Ankleshwar Asset added one more feather in it’s cap by winning National Safety Award (Mines) for two consecutive years i.e. 2015 and 2016. The awards were bestowed by the Vice-President of India on 16 December 2019 in New Delhi.

It was a proud moment for ONGC Ankleshwar Asset as winning this prestigious award for two consecutive years gave recognition to our commitment towards occupational safety, health and welfare of our employees.

It is worth mentioning that, Ministry of Labour and Employment instituted the National Safety Awards (Mines) in 1983 to promote a competitive spirit amongst mine operators for the betterment of safety standards in mines and give due recognition to outstanding safety performance at the national level. For the purpose of the contest for National Safety Awards (Mines) all mines have been divided into seven different groups depending upon the type of mineral and nature of workings.

ED - Asset Manager Mr PC Raval appreciated the efforts made by CGM (D) and Head Drilling Services Mr KDN Ramakumar and his entire Team for internalising ONGC’s philosophy of ‘Safety First’ in operations. He also exhorted all employees of the Asset to keep up the good work, give paramount importance to safety and be fully committed to ONGC’s triple bottom line approach of people, planet and profit.
This recognition will go a long way to boost the morale of Team Ankleshwar Asset in performing their very best, while giving due importance to safety every single day.
